Once we step inside, one might realize that in terms of aesthetics, the dash has been complemented further while Area B has been stripped down. Along with outstanding responsiveness, these features alone signal a world-class experience.

The quality? Don’t get me started. Let me take you on a drive. I know you’re going to love the ambient lighting and Audi’s signature metal accents. And, if I may add, the soft-touch materials used by the company for their interiors looks beyond outstanding. Plus, the car has such a nice acoustic sound quality that there is virtually no road noise.

Audi Q5 Engine – For Now, We Try To Keep It Simple

This part of the car is no stranger to me. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which is familiar to me, is present yet again but is now supplying approximately 265 PS and 370 Nm of power. It is also integrated with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox along with quattro AWD.

To be honest, performance-wise, it has that level of smoothness that allows for superb city sprints and comfortable highway overtakes, but it tends towards feeling somewhat sluggish. There are claims from Audi that an electrified version is on the way (think of a mild hybrid or a plug-in hybrid), but to be honest, this setup does perform quite well at the moment although it lacks drama.

To answer for the question regard efficiency, if you drive your car in a civilized manner, expect a number around 12-14 kmpl.

• Expected Price (India): ₹70-85 lakh (ex-showroom)
